Sunday October 4th the Quakers of Orlando are celebrating World Quaker Day by having a potluck dinner followed by a film. The potluck dinner will begin after rise of meeting around 11:30 am. Following the potluck interested Friends will travel to the Winter Park Library to watch the film Inside Peace / Just Breathe at 1:30 pm. Friends attending the film are encoraged to buy their tickets in advance through the Peace Film Festival web site, http://peacefilmfest.org/2015-festival.html. Tickets are $8 and the film is expected to sell out.

The Quakers of Orlando are hosting a Valentine's Jazz Concert with the Jenny Wilson Trio on February 14th, 2015. The concert starts at 7:30 pm and will feature love songs, jazz favorites and original compositions. Light refreshments will be served. Donations for musicians are greatly appreciated.

Below is a link to the notice for a special meeting of the Incorporate Trustees.   The bylaws of the corporation require this notice  to members 10 days in advance of the meeting which will be held August 24, 2014.   The bylaws state that "all members in good standing" are also members of the corporation.

Public banking is banking in the public interest. It is not a retail bank. It is owned by the citizens of the county, city or state. It is an incredibly important innovation in public policy. Public banking is all about making money less scarce by funding the things our community values.
